Yuzvendra Chahal was signed by Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2014. Over 8 seasons and 113 matches, he became the highest wicket-taker for RCB and earned a place in the Indian national team in 2015, taking 23 wickets to be the leading wicket-taker for the team.

In 2022, he was signed by Rajasthan Royals for ₹6.5 crore, entering the IPL final for the first time, and taking the most wickets (27) to win the Purple Cap. In 2023, he became the highest wicket-taker in IPL history.

He has also played for the Indian team in Tests against England and South Africa.
