In India, everyone knows that after the new regulation got passed, all the popular cash gaming platforms were banned – including MPL!
Bro, you must have the same doubts as me..
Is MPL still legal now? How long is the withdrawal waiting time? Will the deposit option come back in the future? Should we continue playing? The final MPL analysis guide is right here.
After the new regulation came in, is MPL still legal?
After the new gambling law was announced, MPL quickly turned its games into free-to-play and stopped the deposit option, just to comply with Indian regulations! So yes, MPL is still a legal gaming app in India.
This would only become illegal if they secretly restored the deposit function without the approval of the Indian authorities.

MPL has started laying off employees – does this mean the company is going to shut down?
MPL is not likely to shut down anytime soon. The company has already announced a new business direction: according to the CEO, before real-money gaming comes back in India, MPL will focus more on the U.S. and Brazil markets.
As for India, besides adjusting to the new law, MPL has laid off around 300 employees to downsize and cut costs.
Let’s wait and see how MPL handles things in India going forward!

How long does it take to withdraw money from MPL?
For UPI transactions, the standard withdrawal time is about 1-2 working days, while bank transfers usually take around 3-4 working days to complete.
Even though deposits have been stopped, MPL has promised that players can still 100% withdraw their existing balance.
Of course, if you haven’t done your KYC yet, you’ll first need to set it up online and wait for customer support to approve it before withdrawals can start.
(The KYC approval process usually takes anywhere between 1-3 days.)

Will MPL restore the stored value function in the future?
MPL has officially stated that deposits won’t be coming back to India anytime soon.
However, if the modifications they propose can meet Indian regulatory standards, they’re aiming to bring back the deposit option by the end of 2026.
It’s clear that reorganizing their business in India will take some time, but one thing is certain – with MPL’s scale in India, they definitely won’t give up on real-money gaming so easily!
My advice: better to withdraw your balance now and make use of it somewhere else. Bros, I’d say deposits won’t be coming back for at least the next six months.
