What is Roulette?

Roulette consists of a round spinning wheel and a small ball. The wheel has 37 or 38 slots, corresponding to the numbers 1-36 and 0 ( the American version has an extra 00 ). The numbers 1-36 are either red or black, while 0 is green. Players can bet where the ball will land, whether a specific number, color, or a range of numbers.

How to play Roulette? At the start of the game, the wheel spins counterclockwise, and the dealer throws the ball in the opposite direction. You can bet on a single number, or choose to bet on options like color, odd/even numbers, or high/low numbers. The game is simple – the winner is decided by where the ball lands.

Roulette bet type

Roulette bets are mainly divided into two categories: inside bets and outside bets.

  • Inside bets include Straight Up, Split Bet, Street Bet, Corner Bet, and Line Bet.

  • Column Bet: Bet on an entire column of 12 numbers by placing your chip at the「2to1」spot at the end of the column.
    For example, betting on the first column includes the numbers 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, 21, 24, 27, 30, 33, and 36.
  • Dozen Bet: Bet on a range of 12 numbers, known as a ‘dozen’. Place your chip in the corresponding dozen area.
For example, betting on the first dozen covers the numbers 1-12, and the second dozen covers 13-24.
  • Red or Black Bet: Bet on all 18 numbers in either the red or black section of the wheel. Place your chip in the red or black area.

  • High or Low Bet: Bet on all 18 numbers in either the 1-18 range or the 19-36 range. Place your chip in the corresponding high or low area.
