I went to Goa intending to stay at Deltin Royale, but when I saw the ticket price, I was put off immediately. Since I only had a budget of 5,000 rupees in my pocket, I ended up turning back and going to Deltin Jaqk. Who’d have thought this “old ship” would prove more interesting than I’d imagined.
I’ll give you an honest rating (out of 5 stars) based on service, ambiance, games, pricing, and food. Should you go? You’ll have your answer after reading this.
Neither good nor bad Deltin Jaqk
The Deltin Jaqk is an offshore casino ship that has been operating since 2008, making it older than many of the young people who visit casinos today.
So my mindset at the time was simply to go for one night, play a few games, have a drink, and experience the floating casino for what it was—I didn’t expect anything more. After all, the facilities can’t compare to “upstart” restaurants like Royale. But it’s cheap, approachable, and has a relaxed atmosphere, like the difference between a budget chain restaurant and a high-end Michelin-starred one.
Overall, the results were not bad! If I had to describe it in one sentence, it would be: “Neither good nor bad, the price reflects the quality.”
Service：3/5
The service staff are generally friendly, especially the dealers, who will patiently teach you whether it is your first time playing or not. There is no look of “looking down on rookies”, which is a big plus.
The disadvantage is that when there are too many people, especially on weekends, the service will become slower, and you may not be able to find anyone to help you when you have problems.
Environment：4/5
There are plenty of tables and chairs on the deck where you can dine while enjoying the sea view. If you like quietness, it is recommended to go in the afternoon. There are not many people, and it is easy to find a seat. At night, the atmosphere on the boat was much more lively and there were more activities, but to be honest, the performances were only so-so.
The gaming area is a bit cramped, and when crowded it can feel rather stuffy, though the atmosphere is pleasant enough and it’s not so noisy as to prevent concentration on the games.

Jaqk may be small, but it packs a punch. Roulette, Blackjack, Baccarat, Teen Patti, Andar Bahar, Poker, and Slots – it’s all here. There are about 50 tables and 30 slot machines.
I think the most considerate thing is the “Newbie Teaching Table”, which is very friendly to first-time players. There is no need to worry about being crushed as soon as you sit down. There is no problem with the fairness of the game. At least I didn’t feel cheated when playing baccarat and roulette.
The only minor deduction is the limited number of slot machines, but honestly most people come here just to play board games, so that’s acceptable.
Price：4.5/5
This is really something to praise, the classic ticket package only costs ₹ 2,400 to enter, and also gives you a game voucher worth ₹ 1,000, unlimited drinks and food. Compared to Royale, which starts at ₹4000, Jaqk allows you to get the same complete experience at a fraction of the price.
The only thing to note is that there is a 28% GST on chips. Although every casino will collect it, first-time players may not know it, so don’t be too surprised to find that the money is less when you exchange it for real money.

Jaqk offers an unlimited buffet, but the quality is average or even poor, and it can only fill your stomach. But the drinks are the savior, there are many varieties and they are all-you-can-drink, which is the highlight. People who don’t drink can order non-alcoholic cocktails, which are also delicious.
However, the level of alcohol you can drink will vary depending on the type of package you purchase, and you will be asked to wear a wristband of the corresponding color when entering, so that the service staff can make a judgment. It is recommended to have the mentality of “coming here to eat a full meal, not to have a big meal” to avoid disappointment.
Which game is the easiest to win at Deltin Jaqk ?
I’ve been to Goa a few times and played quite a few games, but the one I find easiest to win at is definitely Blackjack. Why? Because unlike other games, such as roulette or dice, which rely entirely on luck, you can still win at Blackjack through strategy.
These are the strategies I use when I play by myself :
- Hard 12-16: If the dealer’s open card is 7 or above, I will continue to ask for cards; if it is 2-6, I will stop betting because the dealer has a high chance of busting.
- Pairs: A-A or 8-8 will definitely split; 10-10 must never be split, retaining the higher value.
- Double Down: When holding a 10 or 11, and the dealer’s upcard is weak, I’ll double down – the odds are favourable.
- No Insurance: This trick is not good for players. I never use it. You will lose more in the long run.
This strategy is simple, but effective. At least it has a much higher chance of winning than just taking chances.
Additionally, there are a few other options I think are worth trying :
- Roulette: Red and black, odd and even bets are simple and quick, but to be honest, they’re largely down to luck. Winning feels great, but be careful not to get carried away.
- Andar Bahar: The pace is fast, betting is easy to understand, and by observing the trends in a few rounds, you can occasionally make a small profit.
- Texas Hold’em Poker: If you like to challenge your brain and play psychological games, this game is perfect for you. However, it takes time for beginners to master it.
